   Hi Marcus
You can try this way... give the permission to this folder.
T o give permissions , do in this way:
      chgrp nobody <dir path>
      chown nobody <dir path>

I solved the problem with the identity.pub. But did I do it right? Now I
get the error “/usr/local/sbin/fs_signupd: Permission denied.”

Sorry for all my questions but my time is limited, must demo Freeside
early next week for my employer to convince them that it’s the right product
for them.

I forgot to say that the first message I get when running fs_signup_server
is ”permission denied. Followed by: “Use of uninitialized value in chop at
./fs_signup_server line 93.”

I suspect that is has something to do with the identity.pub.

Thanks that worked! But now I got another problem. When starting the
server: fs_signup_server freeside 131.115.50.49 2 2

I get the error (from that window):

“Use of uninitialized value in chop at ./fs_signup_server line 93.”

If I ignore that and run the signup.cgi I get the error:

“signup.cgi: connect: Socket operation on non-socket at
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/FS/SignupClient.pm line 103.”

Is the file fs_signupd_socket supposed to be empty?

Could it depend on the identity.pub?

  Best regards

  Marcus Rönnquist

  read this http://www.sisd.com/useragent/

  and try use HTTP::BrowserDetect

in signup.cgi instead of UserAgent put BrowserDetect

  and give it a try.

      Hi!
When I try to run signup.cgi i get the error:

      signup.cgi: [Fri Jan 18 14:52:24 2002] UserAgent.pm: syntax error at
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/HTTP/Headers/UserAgent.pm line 163,
near "$possible;" BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at
/usr/local/apache/htdocs/freeside/signup.cgi line 19

      Any ideas?

I have followed the install instructions very thoroughly

      Best Regards
