[freeside-users] Problems with new freeside installation

Ivan, thanks, yes you are correct, the message matches errors logged by
postgresql. But I believe I'm following your instructions carefully. I
have only one database to connect to.

After re-examination I believe the problem is occurring during 'make
install-docs.' During the process, several messages occur saying
'cannot resolve perl_function ...' then the error 'no rule to make
httemplate/*/*/*/*/* needed by masondocs.' The make then fails, and
exits before creating handler.pl and masondocs.

If I run 'make install-docs' a second time, there is success creating
masondocs and handler.pl.

But then when 'freeside-setup' is then run, however, I get the error
 'cust_main_county' does not exist.

After that is when I can bring up the web interface but none of the
cgi's will execute, as I wrote before.

This sequence is repeatable. After several tries I have gotten pretty
accomplished at getting Apache,Postgres and all of the perl modules
installed smoothly on my system but Freeside still won't install.

Any help is appreciated, I am really eager to get this software working
 -- thanks, Dan

I've re-tried the installation several times; started with a clean
reformatted hard drive at least three times (even tried installing
Debian once but got the same result so I went back to slackware. I've
gotten pretty good at getting all the perl modules &etc to install
smoothly and the database seems to be created ok.
